If you're looking for the perfect venue near Gadsden, you're in the right place! After half a decade of wedding photography, I've had the opportunity to explore quite a few of Central Alabama's wedding venues, and wanted to share a few of my favorites. While these aren't all within Gadsden city limits, they are my favorites within about a 45 minute drive! From historical homes to lakefronts, and from oak-lined hilltops to a favorite patch of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, here is my curated list of the best wedding venues near Gadsden, Alabama.

Evergreen Venue

730 Ramsey Road, Rainbow City, AL 35906

Evergreen Venue is an all white wedding chapel right in Rainbow City. (Just a little past Vivian Maddox, if you're familiar with the area!) Many of their ceremonies take place inside the chapel (which is also a classic white with some stunning wooden beams) but they also have an outdoor patio and a gazebo, and the driveway up to the property is absolutely stunning at sunset!

The Lumpkin House

699 N Carlisle St, Albertville, AL 35951

The Lumpkin House is one of my favorite wedding venues in Alabama! The star of the show (in my professional opinion) is the backyard: there is an ancient, moss covered live oak that looks like it just stepped out of a storybook and creates a canopy over the whole space. It really is absolutely magical and has a couple different angles that can be used for an outdoor wedding ceremony or a reception on the lawn and patio! Inside, they have a main ballroom as their indoor ceremony and reception option. It's very classy looking, with all white walls and a black ceiling. The interior doesn't get as much natural light as I personally prefer, but it is still such a nice space.

Oak Meadow Event Center

https://www.oakmeadowevents.com/

268 Bryant Rd, Ohatchee, AL 36271

These guys say it best themselves: "Right at the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, Oak Meadow sits on a tiny hill surrounded by Oak trees. It’s an all-white modern farmhouse with vaulted ceilings, a giant fireplace, and a bridal suite laced with shiplap. It’s pure elegance with an airy feel and an unlimited amount of natural lighting. Style, versatility, a state of the art facility, and the personal touch of being a family owned and operated business make Oak Meadow a stand out venue in the wedding industry."

The Oak Meadow Event Center really is something special. I especially love that it has just as nice of a groom's suite as their bridal suite, which can be surprisingly hard to find in the wedding venue world!

Brunson Farms

https://brunsonfarmsal.com/

6505 Steele Station Rd, Rainbow City, AL 35906

One of the best parts about Brunson Farms is its beautiful outdoor ceremony space. They have a white pergola that looks really wonderful in the late afternoon, a semi-formal outdoor lawn and patio, and are right near the river. It's also right off Steele Station Rd in Rainbow City, and is super close to the Gadsden area.

Gore Creek

74 Gore Rd, Boaz, AL 35957

Can you tell I love a good ceremony under a huge tree, yet? I think there's just something about the symbolism of it that gets me every time. Gore Creek's tree is extra fun, because they have string lights pre-hung in their tree that create a really unique atmosphere! They also have built out their ceremony spaces with benches and a boardwalk (so heels don't get stuck in the grass!) The interior of their venue is tall and draped, and has a really nice open and light feel to it. Since the last time I photographed here, they have repainted the exterior of the buildings white, and it looks fantastic.

Silver Lakes Golf Course (outdoor only)

https://rtjgolf.com/silverlakes/

1 Sunbelt Pkwy, Gadsden, AL 35905

This golf course is incredible — especially at sunrise and sunset! It's one of just a few venues right within Gadsden, and its rolling grassy knolls are nestled into Lee's Lake and Lay's Lake to create a sanctuary perfect for a wedding day.

An important note about the Silver Lakes Golf Course: it's an outdoor only wedding venue! So you'll definitely want to plan carefully to make sure your guests aren't out in the heat or other crazy weather all day. I have a blog post here about how to keep your guests cool during Alabama summer weddings, which I highly recommend looking over!

Harmony Hills Ranch

https://www.harmonyhillsevents.com/

6064 Co Rd 58, Albertville, AL 35951

One more Albertville wedding venue for you! Harmony Hills Ranch is open and light, with lots of windows on every side. In terms of indoor spaces, it's definitely at the top of my list! And this may sound a little strange, but I really like the flooring they have. It's a beautiful smooth concrete inside the venue, which I feel like grounds the interior in an old world way, and they have lovely curved sidewalks throughout their grounds that are kept super clean and make it so easy to get from place to place on the property!

MEET SARAH

Gadsden, Alabama Wedding Photographer

Wedding and engagement photographer Sarah Mismash pictured with her husband mason in gadsden, alabama

Inspired by genealogy and family legacy, I go into every wedding day with the knowledge that your wedding photos are some of the only photos that stick around generationally — they are a critical part of the story your family will learn about you! I consider it’s my responsibility and privilege to help tell that story honestly and elegantly.

You should probably know: I will cry during your dad's speech. I will be getting down on the dance floor with your guests. I'll help you plan intentional time with your partner and closest friends and family on your wedding day — and step back so that you can experience those core memories without interruption. I'll guide you through portraits and wedding prep, work closely with your other vendors to make the magic happen, and capture every moment of your wedding day in all its glory.

If that's the kind of wedding photographer you're looking for...

You're in the right place.
