HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS, JOYFUL MARRIAGES, AND HAPPY ENDINGS

ARE THE WHOLE REASON I DO THIS

My Wedding Philosophy:

I'm here to photograph your wedding beautifully— but I'm also here to celebrate with you, support your marriage, and help you fill your day with memories worth keeping.

I go into every wedding day with the knowledge that these photos will be with you the rest of your lives — and will be passed down to your children and grandchildren after that. They are a critical part of the story your family will learn about you! I consider it my responsibility and privilege to help tell that story honestly and elegantly.

I also know that my job goes beyond just beautiful photos.

I firmly believe that first looks should never be interrupted to “get the shot”, ceremonies shouldn’t have flash distracting you from the promises you're making to each other, and speeches are an important opportunity to hear from your loved ones that they love you and want the best for you.

Please know — the most important thing to me on your wedding day is helping you live every second of it!

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

I'm Sarah!

I've found that it is so important to get to know your wedding photographer a bit before you hire them — you're planning on spending most of your wedding day with them, after all!

So, a little about me:

I'm a breakfast food enthusiast with a soft spot for whipped cream, a retired military kid with no true hometown, and a big believer in intentionally romanticizing life.

  • My favorite wedding movies are Palm Springs and Brooklyn 99. (Yes, they both have Andy Samberg as the male lead. And YES they both count!)
  • I haven't worn makeup since my junior year of high school, including proms and my wedding day (no regrets either! I wrote a blog post about why here)
  • I don't do scary movies. (My list of things that are Too Scary includes, but is not limited to: Coraline, A Muppet's Christmas Carol, and anything that my husband claims is "just a thriller.")

In my experience, the best wedding days are the ones that include uninterrupted time together – whether that means going to breakfast together in your pajamas, jumping in the lake with your wedding party before getting ready, or staying out on the dance floor with everyone all night, wedding celebrations are days that should create core memories.

SOME KIND WORDS

"Out of all the wedding planning I did picking a photographer was one of the things I was most stressed about. When I came across Sarah’s website she not only had great pictures, but she truly seemed genuine and a fun, personable person to be around… and she really was! Sarah got back with me very quickly anytime I had questions or concerns about something. She really took interest in what I wanted as her client. When it came close to the wedding day she regularly checked in making sure I didn’t need help with anything else and on the wedding day she was such a calm presence to be around. She stayed on top of it and kept my family, wedding party and guests on top of it! She is a great photographer to work with!"

MY FAVORITE HAPPY ENDINGS:

MOVIES: Klaus (Yep, the Christmas movie!)

BOOKS: Little Women, anything by Jane Austen, and the original Percy Jackson series.

SONGS: Still the One (originally written by Shaniah Twain but I am obsessed with Ben Rector's cover of it. It will 1000% be the song my husband and I dance to at our 50th wedding anniversary.)

REAL LIFE: Me and Mason :) Every single wedding I photograph, I hope and pray that you guys get a love like the one I've been blessed with.

We can only get to know each other so well from a website page... let's plan a phone call!
